ALL ABOUT ANGELA

Hometown: Muscle Shoals, AL
Instruments: Guitar

Angela has always loved music and musical instruments, which were all over her house as a child. Her parents were both into music, as well as her three older sisters who sang and played. Her younger brother Zac, is also a talented singer, songwriter and musician, and is also appearing on Nashville Star.  Angela was very shy around most people and waited until 13 before singing publicly at a school talent contest. With a win in the contest, the adrenaline rush was intense and hasn't quit since.

Angela is the proud mother of a son and also values her family and friends. Music is her passion and has always been an important part of her life.  She wrote her first song at the age of 10.

Through the years, Angela worked hard to be better herself at her craft, playing everywhere she could. From talent contests to bars to weddings and funerals (really), Angela did it all. Over the past year, Angela has been writing and recording with some of her local idols such as Jimmy Nutt, who encouraged her to go to The House of Fame and get to work.

She is signed with Rick Hall at Fame Recording and Publishing Company in Muscle Shoals, Alabama as a writer. She has been fortunate to write with some great writers such as, Billy Lawson, James Leblanc, Mercury Recording Artist Gary Nichols, James Slater, Kris Burgsnes and the late Ava Aldridge. Her style of Country, R&B and Rock and Roll has strongly been influenced by the Muscle Shoals Sound.  Angela’s performances have taken her to Phoenix, Chicago and all over the Southeast.  Now that Angela has been a finalist on Nashville Star, it is just a matter of time to find out where she goes from here.  If she is the winner she will receive a recording deal with Warner Brothers.  If not, many doors have still opened for her and her new fans throughout the country will eagerly be waiting to see what she does next.  One thing is certain, that a lot of people are waiting to hear the music of Angela Hacker.

Now Angela can claim the title of Nashville Star.  On March 1, 2007 Angela was announced as the winner of the hit reality show on USA Network.  As the winner of Nashville Star, Angela receives a record deal with Warner Brothers Nashville, a new Chevy Silverado truck and and an appearance at the legendary Grand Ole Opry.  On April 3, 2007 Angela released her first CD as a major label recording artist.

Angela is no longer with Warner Brothers Records and is currently working as an independent artist with Fame/EMI.
