The show is over but you can view photos online HERE. Nashville Star 2007Angela Hacker appeared on the smash-hit USA Network country music talent search, which offers contestants a chance to become the next "Nashville Star." As the first-place winner, Angela was awarded a new Chevy Silverado, the chance to perform on the Grand Ole Opry and a professional recording contract with Warner Bros Records. Often referred to as a "clone" of American Idol, the show focuses on country music and the search is for a talented singer/songwriter. The contestants perform one of their own "original" songs and are also allowed to play musical instruments, showcasing their skills as a musician also. Nashville Star "Homecoming""Nashville Star" competing siblings Zac and Angela Hacker returned to the Shoals for the first time since the premiere of the fifth season's first episode six weeks ago. The Hackers appeared at locations throughout the Shoals on Sat., Feb. 17. The brother and sister from LaGrange, Ala. appeared at the Alabama Music Hall of Fame in Tuscumbia, Ala. at 5 p.m. for a ceremony with the local mayors and to perform a short acoustic set, followed by a meet-and-greet after the show. USA Network filmed the homecoming, which was open to the public and free of charge, for the Thurs., Feb 22 episode of "Nashville Star."
