Angela Named 2007 Nashville Star!

Just a few months ago most of the country had never heard the name Angela Hacker.  Angela decided to audition for NASHVILLE STAR as a means of fulfilling her dreams.  Luckily for us she was selected as one of ten contestants for the 5th season of the hit reality talent show on USA Network. 

Angela quickly became a favorite of the fans.  Her soulful and emotional performances each week touched the hearts of many of the fans.  On the 5th show of the season, on February 8th, for the first time ever they revealed the rankings of the remaining 5 contestants.  It was no surprise to her fans to find that Angela had ranked in 1st place for the week.  Her performance of her original song "Total Loss" brought her great praise from the judges, fans and the press. 

On March 1 the field was further narrowed to the final two and it was down to Angela and her brother Zac.  By the end of the evening, Angela was named the winner, which now makes her a Warner Brothers recording artist, the happy owner of a new Chevy Silverado truck and a promised appearance at the Grand Ole Opry!

ANGELA APPEARANCES

Angela made her debut on the Grand Ole Opry on March 30 and 31. The performance was televised and will air one more time on GAC on Tuesday April 4.  Check the photo gallery and Media for more information from this great evening!

Angela will be on the 2007 Nashville Star Tour with the other contestants that made up the final four!  Dates are still being added so please check the tour page often to find a date in your area!  2007 Nashville Star Tour!

ALL ABOUT ANGELA

Angela has always loved music and musical instruments, which were all over her house as a child in Muscle Shoals, AL. Her parents were both into music, as well as her three older sisters who sang and played. Angela was very shy around most people and waited until 13 before singing publicly at a school talent contest. With a win in the contest, the adrenaline rush was intense and hasn't quit since.  

Through the years, Angela worked hard to be better herself at her craft, playing everywhere she could. From talent contests to bars to weddings and funerals (really), Angela did it all. Over the past year, Angela has been writing and recording with some of her local idols such as Jimmy Nutt, who encouraged her to go to The House of Fame and get to work.
